Shipping Policy

We are pleased to offer complimentary UK delivery on all orders. Postage and packaging are included in the price of each item — there are no additional shipping fees at checkout.

For your peace of mind:

  • Orders with a value of over £50 will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

  • Orders with a value of £50 or under will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48.

All items are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safely.

At this time, we are unable to ship outside of the United Kingdom.

Return & Exchange Policy

We hope you are delighted with your purchase from A Trunk of Silver. If you are not completely satisfied, this policy explains your rights and how to return or exchange items.

Your Legal Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the following rights:

  • Right to cancel: You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods for a full refund.

  • Right to a refund, repair, or replacement: If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

How to Return or Exchange

  1. Notify us within 14 days of receiving your order via email or website chat. Include:

    • Your order number

    • The item(s) to be returned or exchanged

    • The reason for return or exchange

  2. Return items within 14 days of notifying us.

Return Conditions

  • Items should be returned in their original packaging, where reasonably possible.

  • Items must be returned unworn and in resalable condition.

  • For hygiene reasons, certain items (such as earrings) cannot be returned unless faulty.

  • Return postage is at the customer’s expense. We strongly recommend a tracked and insured postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are available for items of the same price.

  • For items of higher value, the difference must be paid.

  • For items of lower value, a partial refund will be issued.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us immediately (ideally within 48 hours) with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the problem

  • Photographs of the item and packaging

If a fault is confirmed, we will:

  • Offer a repair, replacement, or full refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Reimburse reasonable return postage costs

Please do not return faulty items without contacting us first so we can handle your claim efficiently.

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days.
